All the experiences we have had here have been great. The doctors are very professional, friendly, painless and do procedures in a timely manner. The staff is always pleasant and helpful, making us feel like they care. The facility is new, well organized and always spotless inside and out and the equipment is state of the art! We have never had a negative experience at Finney Family Dentistry. We always feel welcome at here. Both of us are in our late 70’s and still have our natural, original teeth which we feel is mostly due to the care and treatment we have had over the years at Finney Family Dentistry!

We have been going to the Finney Family Dentistry for over 40 years. We originally saw Dr. Ray Finney, and since he retired, Dr. Bob has provided all of our dental care. Now his son Miles and daughter Kate along with her husband Derek have joined the team. Throughout our time at Marion, we have been extremely pleased with everyone at the office. We have found them all to be very friendly, careful, and thorough. As soon as we walk in the door, we always feel welcome. And with every visit we leave knowing we received the absolute best dental care. Our three children, Terry II, Karen and Tommy have gone to Dr. Finney since they were four years old. During their college years they still came back to their office. Even after Karen and Tommy got married and lived in Columbus, they continued to come back for all their dental care. Karen and her husband Kenny said they would never consider going anywhere else. Hygienists Pam and Maria have been our care givers for over 30 years. We laugh and share our family pictures with all of them. Penny has been remarkable in scheduling us for checkups and dental care, working with everyone’s busy schedules. Dr. Bob is one of the most gentle and caring people we know. He always talked about what was expected and what our options were. Terry had a tooth that had a crack in it, and Dr. Bob worked with him for years to try to save the tooth. Both Bernie and Terry appreciate them ensuring that every procedure is pain free. We have total confidence in the quality of care provided. Their office is modern and very clean, and the warm friendly faces that greet us when we come in feel like home. The entire staff is like family to us. They will all be deeply missed when we move to Myrtle Beach this summer.

I would personally recommend Dr. Derek Van Dyke at Finney Family Dentistry. For the past few years my front teeth and canines had deteriorated; my self esteem became very low and I was very embarrassed and insecure of my smile. First of all, Dr. Derek’s personality and bedside manner were beyond any medical or dental practitioner I’ve encountered for a long time. I had to have four teeth removed and four cavities filled before I could get my partial denture; pain free through every procedure with Dr. Derek continually making sure I was comfortable. I can’t say enough about the staff, from the reception desk all the way to the exit door. He gave me his business card and home phone number in case of an emergency. The billing department also helped with a payment plan. I now have a beautiful smile, and I’m proud to smile and laugh with a natural appearance. I feel like a new woman. My self esteem has grown and I receive many compliments. I would recommend this practice to anyone. If you ever choose to see Dr. Derek I can guarantee you will be treated with the utmost respect and benefit from the newest technology.

Because it had been some time since my last dental visit, I approached this procedure with some apprehension. However, “it was not to be” in any way a traumatic experience. From the reception at the front desk, to Dr. Derek and his assistants, I felt totally relaxed, and certain that I had chosen the correct dentist for me. I just wanted to say a special thank you to Dr. Kate and Dr. Derek for coming in on a Saturday to put a crown back on for me. I wasn’t quite sure what to do when it came off on Friday afternoon so I text Maria, my hygienist-she immediately said I don’t want you to wait until Monday because that tooth doesn’t have a root canal-let me make a few calls. My nieces wedding was on Saturday-and without hesitating they offered to come in and put it back on for me –they were great to work with the time frame I had that day as I was doing all the makeup application for the wedding in the morning-so they saw me in between. They went above and beyond for me to make sure I was comfortable and didn’t experience a tooth ache. In addition to that I don’t have dental insurance so they were very fair on the billing as well. I also appreciate how friendly all the staff including the front desk ladies are as well-any questions I’ve had or if I need to reschedule an appointment they’ve been great to work with. I would recommend this office to my family and friends and am very happy we made the switch!

Emma began going to Dr. Miles while she was still a toddler. From the first moment Emma walked in to Dr. Miles’ office, she has been treated with amazing care and gentleness. Dr. Miles and his entire staff make her feel like she is the most important one in the office. Throughout her whole procedure, Dr. Miles and his assistant, Stephanie, talk to Emma like nothing is happening, and they treat her like she is a big girl. Since she was four, Emma has been cavity prone, and has had to have fillings and has even had to have teeth extracted. Dr. Miles talks to her throughout the entire process and responds to her facial clues to tell when she is in pain, and he never proceeds until she is comfortable again. We also appreciate that while Dr. Miles moves from room to room checking on patients, Stephanie makes sure that Emma is never alone. They keep a close eye on her to make sure she doesn’t get scared or nervous while she waits. Emma is now 7 years old. Even with all the anesthesia shots she has had, and all the oral work Dr. Miles has done, Emma still smiles when she walks into the office. She is happy to see her “old friends” and is never nervous about her visits. She greets everyone, and the entire staff knows her by name. To us, the confidence Dr. Miles and his staff have instilled in our daughter is priceless. Emma will be a “forever patient” of Dr. Miles.
